Japan Kobe Steel Corporation Kakogawa steel plant in April 1989 in the continuous casting production line introduced the CAS method of molten steel processing equipment, operation so far, the operation is smooth, steel quality improved significantly. The CAS method is a ladle treatment method for blowing argon gas at the ladle bottom and finely adjusting the molten steel composition. After treatment, the number and size of inclusions in the molten steel have significantly improved, compared with RH vacuum treatment of steel inclusions in the number of small and much smaller. Because RH
