我国文学长篇小说作家通常具有极高的文言造诣,在其作品中各种文言随处可见,将文言穿插于白话小说中,不仅用意深远,且对比鲜明,能够为小说赋予浓厚的历史内涵,更凸显小说人物形象的塑造。然而,在文言英译过程中,受限于翻译理论限制,会使小说的历史文化层面和语言层面以及小说的修辞、人物等层面上,存在不同程度的文化流失,为此,本文旨在摒弃文言英译局限性,实现中华文化传承的历史使命。 Chinese literary novels writers usually have extremely high attainments in Chinese. In their works, various kinds of classical Chinese can be seen everywhere. Interlinging classical Chinese into vernacular novels has far-reaching and contrasting features. It can give the novel a profound historical connotation and even more prominent The Creation of Figure Character. However, in the process of classical English translation, limited by the limitations of translation theory, there are different levels of cultural loss in the historical and cultural aspects of the novel as well as in the rhetoric and characters of the novel. To this end, this article aims to abandon Limitations of classical English translation, to achieve the historic mission of Chinese cultural heritage.
