我们川沙县,地处长江入海口,黄浦江的东岸,属滨海冲积平原,有着46.43公里长的岸线。我县岸线,与台风期间通常出现的东北风向成正交,海塘防汛工程受到正面冲击,因而威胁益重。每年夏秋之际,我县即会出现台风暴潮,民谚云:“风潮年年做,独怕处暑夹白露”,若是适逢台风增水、天文高潮、长江洪汛组合,俗称“三兄弟一齐来”必然形成异常的风暴潮危害。对此,历代县志及有关史籍都屡载不绝。从一九一五年至一九四九年的二十五年中,川沙海塘就决堤十
Our Chuansha County, located at the mouth of the Yangtze River and the east bank of the Huangpu River, is a coastal alluvial plain with a shoreline of 46.43 kilometers.
