中国地理学會召開的第一屆全国代表大會於1月26日在北京開幕,1月31日結束。出席這次大會的代表共31人,其中包括全国各地大中学地理教師和各研究机构与产业部门的地理工作者。大會第一天,地理學會代理事長、大會主席竺可楨作了关於“中国地理學工作者當前的任務”的報告(在本期本刊中發表)。他首先分析了過去中国地理科学不能获得良好成绩的原因,接着指出;地理工作者今后应团结起来,為當前的大規模經濟建設服務,应學習蘇联地理科學的先進經驗,為新中国改造自然、征服自然而鬥
The first National Congress of the Geographical Society of China was opened on January 26 in Beijing and ended on January 31. A total of 31 delegates attended the conference, including geography teachers from universities and high schools throughout the country and geographers from various research institutes and industry sectors. On the first day of the conference, Zhu Kezhen, acting chairman of the Geographical Society and chairman of the conference, made a report on the current mission of Chinese geography workers (published in this issue of this issue). He first analyzed the reason why China’s geography science could not achieve good results in the past. He then pointed out: Geographical workers should unite in the future and serve the current large-scale economic construction. They should learn the advanced experience of Soviet geography science and transform nature for the new China Conquer nature and fight
