1942年我生于闽南濒海的乡镇,自幼酷爱画画。在集美中学读书时受美术老师重点教导使我画艺日进,初中毕业后便考入南京艺专学画。1961年以优异成绩考取南京艺术学院中国画系,有幸得到谢海燕、俞剑华、陈大羽等名师精心培育,系统地学习中国书画优秀传统,打下坚实笔墨功底。较全面地认识体悟“外师造化,中得心源”、“迁想妙得”等有关意、理、法方面中国画论要旨,故我在大学三年级深入农村体验生活时创作中国画作品《新苗》,入选第四届全国美展,老画家钱松喦特为之撰文好评,诗人张秋生为之写长诗推介。毕业后我长期在文化部门任职,当过电影厂美工、文艺刊物美术编辑,创作大量文学作品插图与美术作品。1979年我被调入江苏省国画院从事国画创作,我遵奉“借古开今”信条,认真地临摹历代绘画珍品,吸取民族绘画传统精华,力行“外师造化,中得心源”创作道路,先后远赴

In 1979, I was transferred to the State Art Institute of Jiangsu Province to engage in the creation of traditional Chinese painting. I obeyed the credo of “borrowing ancient times and opening up” to seriously copy the ancient treasures of painting and absorb the traditional essence of national painting.
