大多数的正畸治疗是在儿童生长发育期进行的,故生长发育与正畸之间的关系愈来愈成为国内外学者们关心的问题。本文初步总结了生长发育的一般规律及其在临床上的运用,意在为生长发育的预测及临床正畸治疗能合理、适时地进行提供参考。一、牙、颌、面的正常生长变化(一)颅、面骨骼生长的不一致性与成人相比,婴儿表现出大头、小脸、大眼睛、塌鼻子。从出生到成人,颅面各组成部份生长的速度和生长量是不同的。一般规律为,颅脑生长最早,中面部较迟,下颌最迟。
