为使山西省卫生防疫站研制的两种类型饮水补碘器安全用于人群,对其加碘后的饮水进行了大鼠90天喂养,小鼠骨髓嗜多染红细胞微核及睾丸染色体畸变试验,结果表明:两类补碘器加碘后的饮水比对照组自来水水碘高5~6倍,大鼠尿碘明显增高,是对照组的3~5倍(P<0.01);大鼠生长曲线、食物利用率、尾血血象、肝功能、肾功能、T3值、T4值、TSH值、脏体比、脏器组织切片等指标均与对照组无显著性差别;两项遗传毒性指标也未显示致突变作用。现场应用安全、有效、方便。可以认为该补碘器用于人群是安全的
