编辑部:1931年4月,湖北省谷城县大薤山一带成立的薤山游击队,是鄂豫边特委在鄂西北建立的唯一一支党的武装。1931年5月,贺龙率领的红三军抵达谷城县后,薤山游击队迅速壮大,建立了以薤山为中心的薤山游击根据地。红三军离开后,国民党反动派血洗大薤山游击根据地,2名中共县委书记牺牲;游击队干部、县苏维埃干部几乎全部牺牲;绝大多数游击队战士牺牲。为缅怀先烈,谷城县委、县政府把薤山红军的历史载入谷城党史和革命史,为牺牲的干部和红军申报革命烈士,收集整理薤山红军烈士的英勇故事。2011年9月,谷城县委、县政府建起了谷城苏区革命
Editorial Department: In April 1931, the Dangshan Guerrilla Army set up in the Dachangshan area of Gucheng County in Hubei Province was the only armed party to be established by the Hubei-Henan side special committee in northwestern Hubei. In May 1931, after the Red Army led by He Long arrived in Gucheng County, the Yushan guerrillas rapidly expanded and established the Yushan guerrilla base centered on Yushan. After the departure of the Red Army, the Kuomintang reactionaries bloodbathed the base of the Dajian Mountain guerrillas and two CPC county party secretaries died. Guerrilla cadres and the county Soviet cadres sacrificed almost all; the vast majority of guerrilla fighters sacrificed. To cherish the memory of martyrs, Gucheng County Party Committee and County Government included the history of the Yanshan Red Army in the history of the Gucheng city and the history of revolution, declared the sacrificial cadres and the Red Army revolutionary martyrs, and collected the heroic stories of the martyrs of the Red Army.
