Over recent years, Contradictions between Japan and China on oil and gas field in the East China Sea have deepened. The author believes that Japans energy policy on China is transforming from cooperation to a combination of cooperation and competition. The exclusionist trend in Japans energy policy is not conducive to China-Japan energy cooperation and runs counter against the development trend of economic integration in East Asia.
