彦涵(中国版画家协会名誉主席、中央美院教授):齐凤阁的《中国新兴版画发展史》是目前我国第一部完整的新兴版画史书。作者治史严谨,既守史书著述之准则,又不被旧范所羁,既不像以往编年体那样平铺直叙而无判断,又不像近年有的史书随意点评,缺少严谨、科学的态度,或忽视史料的丰富性。他力图摆脱传统史学的束缚,从史、论、评结合的新角度,直接切入版画艺术本体,以史实叙述为主线,论从史出,评寓于史,融艺术现象、画家作品评析、各时期版画特征及规律探讨为一体,结构庞大,框架分明,线索清晰,思路严密。在论述意旨上,既肯定新兴版画在历史进程中的积极社会作用,又不是把版画艺术作为政治革命史、艺术运动史的诠释来写,而是以版画作品为中心,从艺术、审美的视角,在纵横联系中,展开对各时期画家、画派风格特色的分析描述,确定其历史座标。此书史料翔实,力避空谈,并以第一手资料的运用与新史料的发掘见著。作者自1984年确立此选题并被列入国家教委社会科学研究项目后,多次有计划地到全国各地采访版画家,对采访记录、画家创作日记及档案文献、版画作品进行梳理、

The author has a strict history of prosecution, and keeps the norms of the history books, nor is it subject to the old norms.
