北京地下直径线连接北京铁路枢纽——北京站与北京西客站,全长9 165 m,沿途径由崇文门、前门、和平门、宣武门、长椿街、西便门、天宁寺等,其中隧道长7 120 m(占线路长度的78%)。隧道自崇文门十字街东侧入地,并在崇文门、前门、宣武门分别与规划的南北地铁5号线、8号线、4号线交叉,往西拐至西便门桥、天宁寺桥北侧,斜穿白云路立交桥下至小马场附近出地面。 隧道全部在第四系全新统地层中,崇文门至前门段为粘性土层、砂层、圆砾土层互层;前门以后以卵石土层、圆砾土层为主,夹砂层及粘性土层。围岩等级均为Ⅵ级,地震基本烈度为Ⅷ级。隧道在CK5+480以西的地下水为孔隙潜水,而在CK5+480以东地下水则为孔隙承压水。地下水位埋深约16~17 m,东高西低,西部含水层丰富、颗粒粗、渗透系数大。
Beijing underground diameter line connecting the Beijing Railway Terminal - Beijing Railway Station and Beijing West Railway Station, a total length of 9 165 m, along the route by Chongwenmen, Qianmen, Hepingmen, Xuanwumen, Changchun Street, West Side door, Tianning Temple, etc. The tunnel is 7 120 m long (78% of the line length). All of the tunnels are in Quaternary Holocene Stratum, and Chongwenmen to Qianmen section are cohesive soil layer, sand layer and round gravel soil layer; after the front door, pebble soil layer and round gravel soil layer are mainly used, sand layer and viscosity Soil layer. Surrounding rock grades are Ⅵ level, the basic earthquake intensity Ⅷ level. Groundwater in tunnels to the west of CK5 + 480 is pore-submerged, whereas groundwater in the area to the east of CK5 + 480 is pore-confined water. The groundwater table is buried at a depth of about 16-17 m, high in the east and low in the west, rich in aquifers in the west, coarse in grain size and large in permeability coefficient.
