贺龙同志离开我们已经十二年了。今天,在文艺作品中重现这个历史悲剧,由于作家对生活的认识和理解不一样,写法是可以很不相同的。电影《元帅之死》着重于对极左路线的控诉;歌剧《贺龙之死》对这个历史悲剧却有着自己的独特“解释”。剧作突出的是贺龙同志对极左路线的抗争,以及在这种抗争中体现出来的革命者的高风亮节。“诗言志,歌咏言”,这正是我国民族歌剧所长于描写和抒发的。
