In the past two years, according to the Shanghai Municipal Adult Education Working Conference and the Shanghai Education Working Conference held successively by the municipal party committee and the municipal government, the city’s adult education focused on the tremendous demand of Shanghai’s economic development and social progress for talent cultivation and took active measures. Constantly implementing the basic idea of reform and development of adult education centered on “straightening out the system and changing the mechanism ” has made gratifying progress in many aspects.
