金龟子是鞘翅目昆虫的一大类群,它与农、林业生产关系十分密切,其中许多的成虫(金龟子)食性很杂,是农、林业和果树的苗期、花期的重要害虫,其幼虫(蛴螬)危害植物的地下部分,是一类重要的土壤害虫。鉴于吉林省白城地区的金龟子尚无系统的研究和确切记录,给这一地区害虫区系、种类鉴定和防治工作带来不少困难。我们自1977—1979年连续二年对吉林省白城地区所辖的镇赉县、洮安县、白城市、通榆县、乾安县、长岭县、大安县、前郭旗、扶余县及内蒙古兴安盟的科右前旗、突泉等十一
