在空气锤的传动机构中,一般均采用二级传动,即一级皮带传动和一级齿轮传动,而压缩活塞的行程则取决于曲轴偏心距的大小,并产生最大扭矩,所以曲轴是传动部分一个重要的零件。现在大多数空气锤的曲轴都采用组合体结构(图1),以取代整体结构。组合体曲轴较之整体式曲轴有许多显著的优点,主要是:1)整体式曲轴的毛坯需要用较大型的锻压设备进行锻造,工艺复杂,一般中小型工厂制造困难;而组合体曲轴的两根轴都是用圆钢车制,曲轴肩也只需自由锻或胎模锻,取材容易。
