2002年9月25日,当我接受一项紧急任务——专访来粤参加中国侨乡旅游节的全国侨联副主席唐闻生女士时,我脑海里一下子浮现小时候在电影《新闻简报》中常见的那个端庄简朴的女翻译,只要毛主席、周总理接见外宾,她大概都会在场。在中国外交沉闷单调的“文革”期间,最令人振奋的外交事件莫过于毛泽东主席与美国总统尼克松的历史性会面,而这位出生在美国的女性恰恰亲历了这段风起云涌的历史时刻。
