豫花5号由河南省开封市农林科研所花生分所用0－15－0×徐州68－4杂交选育而成，1993年4月通过河南省农作物品种审定委员会审定命名，1994年列入河南省农科系统重点推广项目，1995年6月获河南省第八届发明博览会金奖。产量表现1988～1989年参加河南省区试，平均亩产籽仁1825公
