2010年3月13日,澳门特别行政区前任行政长官何厚铧,被增选为政协第十一届全国委员会副主席。“当选全国政协副主席,对我而言是巨大的光荣和重大的责任,我将在中央的领导下,在新的工作岗位上,为国家的发展尽职尽力,为祖国的和平统一大业,为‘一国两制’方针在澳门的进一步成功落实作出新的贡献。”这是何厚铧对外界发出的铮铮誓言。
