大连市建筑设计研究院有限公司始建于1952年,初创时期名为旅大市人民政府建筑工程局设计公司(简称旅大设计公司),是新中国成立后最早建立的建筑设计院之一。公司经典作品1950年代的苏军烈士纪念塔、旅顺中苏友谊塔、胜利塔、人民文化俱乐部,1970年代末期的大连港客运站、大连渤海饭店、辽宁省外贸谈判楼等现今已成为大连城市景观地标。公司员工人数由始建时的40人发展到现在的470人,业务范围由初期的单一建筑设计,发展到现在公司具有承接各类大型复杂的公共与民用建筑设计、规划、市政、风景园林、工程可行性研究、技术咨询、工程造价、楼宇智能化设计的资质。历经
