随着近年来艺术市场的不断升温,近现代美术史研究也逐渐为人们所关注,但大多尚止于对画家或美术团体、教育史料的稽索钩沉,而通过史料作进一步深入的学理判断,无疑将成为近现代美术史研究的新课题与方向。张其翼是活跃于20世纪30至60年代北方画坛的一代花鸟画名家,其技精法严、精于审物的画风曾对京津画坛产生深远影响,通过个案对其生平艺事、画风渊源、画理画境作出确切的研究与批评,势必将加深我们对20世纪京津画坛的整体体认,从而深化近现代地域美术流派及其文化渊源的理论研究。
