电磁搅拌辊在工作时能有效的改善连铸坯的内部组织,提高表面质量,减少中心偏析和中间疏松,大大增加等轴晶率。武钢股份公司与黄石火炬科技公司合作,于2004年研制出第一代电搅辊。虽然能基本达到使用要求,但其辊身材料在高温时的性能指标需进一步提高。在充分分析各项影响因素的基础上,笔者对辊身材料的物理、化学、力学、工艺性能不断探索改进,最终使辊身在保持较高的持久塑性前提下,850℃和1 100℃的100 h持久强度分别提高25%和20%左右,其一次性使用寿命达一年以上,通过修复还可以使其最终使用寿命可达4年以上。
