For Sweden's two Olympic champions Krefort and Olsen, things are all different, despite their serious preparations for the upcoming new indoor season. Olson had to do two consecutive surgeries in three months because of a foot injury. In particular, he accepted his fourth surgery since 2005 in Gothenburg on December 20 and will not be able to move within 4-6 weeks despite the successful operation of sports medicine specialist Sveved. This means that Olsen will not be able to attend training camps currently in Sweden's track training camp in South Africa and will not be able to defend his title at the 2006 Indoor World Championships.
