Objective To observe the changes of C reactive protein and procalcitonin in neonates with ABO hemolytic disease and to analyze their clinical significance. Methods Sixty-nine neonates with ABO hemolytic disease were divided into study group (infection) and control group (43 cases without infection) according to whether they were infected or not. Two groups of neonates were admitted on the first day and the third day C-reactive protein and procalcitonin expression levels and the outlier detection rate. Results The expression of C-reactive protein and procalcitonin on the first day and the third day after admission were higher in the neonatal study group than in the control group, and the detection rates of C-reactive protein and procalcitonin were higher than those in the control group All were statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusions The expression of C-reactive protein, procalcitonin and the detection rate of abnormal values are significantly increased in neonates with ABO hemolytic disease infection, suggesting that these two indexes may be used clinically to evaluate ABO hemolytic disease The progress of the disease.
