第一屆全國人民代表大會第一次會議勝利閉會了@次會議,制定了中國人民的第一個憲法,制定了幾個重要法律,通過了政府工作報告,選舉和决定了新的國家領導工作人員。這是全國人民政治生活中的一件大喜事。這次會議中通過的憲法,總結了中國人民一百多年以來英勇鬥爭的歷史經驗,也總結了中國近代開於憲法問題和憲政運動的歷史經驗,又總結了中華人民共和國成立以來新的歷史經驗,並正確地吸收了國際的經驗。它是全國人民爲實現國家過渡時期總任務而奮鬥的具體準則。毛主席指示我們,‘這次會議所制定的憲法將大大地促進我國的社會主義事業’。
