野巴旦杏(AmypdaTus Ledebouyiana)蔷薇科扁桃属,系落叶小乔木,分布新疆西北部巴尔鲁克山、塔尔巴哈台山、沙乌尔山,西部天山,东北部阿尔泰山,其分布生态环境均在各山山麓的河流两旁,湖泊周围的丘陵、谷地上、其资源分布广阔而丰富、但却未得到利用,为了开辟油源发展木本油料,曾于1978—1979年进行榨油试制和分析,并承中国农业科学院武汉油料研究所、新疆农业科学院分析室、新疆外贸局、新疆自治区防疫站、乌鲁木齐市肥皂厂等单位分别进行化验分析,根据鉴定结果可初步确定,野巴旦杏油是一种优质食用油。
