Circulating water to 0.04 hectares of aquaculture ponds was tested in three studies as a means of increasing the yield of Channel catfish (Ictalurus Punctatus). In the study, water was pumped into the shallow end of the pond at a rate of 227 l / min using a centrifugal pump, and in two of these experiments the water was passed through a 1000-4 liter biofilter. In each study, 45 g of small fish were stocked and raised for 175 days in the growing season to grow into adult fish sizes greater than 450 kg. In experiment 1, stocking density was 7,410 ha each
