广东省在农业上应用激光技术,是从一九七三年开始的,时间虽短,发展较快。一九七三年只有三个单位开展四种作物和生物、7~8个品种的试验。目前,全省已有79个公社以上的单位(如统计到生产队,约有130个单位)开展了对水稻、小麦、花生、甘蔗、烟草、果树、蔬菜、绿肥、旱粮、林业、热带作物、中草药、猪、鸡、鱼、蚕、微生物等17种作物和生物,近120个品种进行试验研究。在应用的激光器种类和数量上,1973年只有3台激光器提供农业上应用,现已有46台激光器,其中氮分子激光育种机25台,氦-氖激光育种机9台,二氧化碳激光育种机
The application of laser technology to agriculture in Guangdong Province started in 1973, and its time was short and its development was rapid.
