新西兰坎特伯雷大学土木系主任派克教授,应天津大学土木系邀请,曾于1982年5月到天津大学讲学,讲学重点为钢筋混凝土结构的抗震设计。派克教授系国际知名钢筋混凝土结构专家,著有专著三部、论文一百一十多篇。他同帕雷教授合写的《钢筋混凝土结构》一书在我国具有广泛的影响。派克教授在钢筋混凝土结构的抗震设计方面颇有造诣。在其一百多篇论著中,有近七十篇是有关抗震设计的。派克教授抗震设计理论的特点是注重实用性。他致力于研究延性以及行之有效的抗震措施,而不局限于纯理论的研究或推导。他的研究方法和成果对我国设计和研究部门均有参考价值。派克教授的讲学内容包括了他在抗震设计方面的主要研究成果。现经天津大学土木系钢筋混凝土教研室推荐,根据讲学记录,并参考其有关论著,整理编译,分六讲刊出,以飨读者。
Prof. Parker, Director of the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of New Zealand at Canterbury, was invited by the Department of Civil Engineering of Tianjin University to give a lecture in Tianjin University in May 1982. The emphasis of the lecture was on the seismic design of reinforced concrete structures. Professor Parker is an internationally renowned expert in reinforced concrete structures and holds three monographs and more than 110 papers. The book “Structural Reinforced Concrete” co-wrote with Professor Pare has a wide range of influence in our country. Professor Parker is well-versed in the seismic design of reinforced concrete structures. Of the more than a hundred of its works, nearly 70 are related to seismic design. Professor Parker’s seismic design theory is characterized by its emphasis on practicality. He is dedicated to studying ductile and effective seismic measures, not limited to pure theoretical research or derivation. His research methods and achievements have reference value for our design and research departments. Professor Parker’s lecture content includes his major research results in seismic design. Now recommended by the Department of Civil Engineering and Reinforced Concrete of Tianjin University, according to lecture records, and refer to its related works, compiled and compiled, it is published in six lectures for readers.
