《兔子成家禽》一文(载《咬文嚼字》1999年第5期)批评报纸上的一篇文章两次称兔子为家禽。批评得对。“家禽”似乎只管人驯养的二足而羽的动物,不曾争夺“家畜”的属下、让人驯养的四足而毛的动物归属自己。
The article “Bunny into poultry” (“Bittersweet” No. 5, 1999) criticizes an article in the newspaper that calls rabbits twice for poultry. Criticism right. “Poultry” seems to be the only domesticated, two-footed and feathered animal that has never battled the “domestic animal” and has domesticated four-footed and hairy animals of its own.
