5月6日,翁源县遭受了有史以来从未有的特大洪涝灾害的袭击,造成全县直接经济损失达7.5亿元。灾情发生后,中共翁源县委、县人民政府迅速组织全县广大干部群众投入抗洪救灾工作,创造了短时间成功转移受困群众2.5万人无1人伤亡的奇迹,得到了中共中央政治局委员、中共广东省委书记汪洋同志的充分肯定和广大群众的高度赞扬。
On May 6, Wengyuan County suffered an unprecedented flood disaster that hit the county as a direct economic loss of 750 million yuan.
