辽西属于山地丘陵区,气候干旱少雨,年平均气温10℃左右,平均年日照时数2850～2950h,年降水量450～580mm,降水主要集中在夏季,无霜期130～155d,生育期内≥10℃的积温为3445～3720℃之间。玉米由于适应性强、产量高、管理简单,是辽西地区面积最大的栽培作物。
Liaoxi belongs to the hilly region of mountainous area. The climate is arid and rainy. The annual average temperature is about 10 ℃. The average annual sunshine duration is 2850 ~ 2950h and the annual precipitation is 450 ~ 580mm. The precipitation is mainly concentrated in summer, frost-free period is 130 ~ 155d and the growth period is ≥10 ℃ The accumulated temperature is between 3445 ~ 3720 ℃. Due to the adaptability of corn, high yield, easy management, is the largest area in western Liaoning cultivated crops.
