(一)跨地区横向研究合作。由科技厅出资,网络全国企业、大学、政府的尖子研究人员联合攻关,利用某一地区的特有优势,集中3年时间从事基础性、超前性研究。今年6月,科技厅与地方政府联合出资建立研究交流咨询机构(暂称“交流研究促进协会”),以期达到振兴地方经济和促进全国横向研究交流的双重目的。该“机构” 由希望参加的单位各出资5000万日元,建在“筑波研究学
(i) Cross-regional horizontal research cooperation. Funded by the Department of Science and Technology, the top researchers from national companies, universities, and government in the country jointly tackle the problem and make use of the unique advantages of a certain region to focus on basic and advanced research for three years. In June this year, the Department of Science and Technology and local governments jointly invested in the establishment of a research and exchange advisory body (tentatively known as the “Exchange Research Promotion Association”) in order to achieve the dual purposes of revitalizing the local economy and promoting cross-country research exchanges. The “institution” has invested 50 million yen in each of the units it hopes to participate in. It is built on Tsukuba Research.
