通过对湖北省红黄壤区的发展潜力及其现状的分析．探讨了本区农业持续发展的对策，提出了以（1）保护土地资源，改善生态环境；(2)搞好合理布局，调整农业结构；（3）增加物、技投入，改良中低产田等为主要方法，发展农村经济，实现高效持续农业．
Through the analysis of the development potentiality and present situation of red - yellow soil area in Hubei province. The countermeasures of sustainable development of agriculture in this area were discussed. The suggestions were as follows: (1) to protect the land resources and improve the ecological environment; (2) to improve the rational layout and adjust the agricultural structure; (3) to increase the investment in materials and technologies and to improve the middle and low yield fields As the main method to develop the rural economy and achieve efficient and sustainable agriculture.
