巫山县是国内重点旅游城市。近年来,我们围绕建设生态旅游精品这一目标,紧紧抓住自然生态和历史文化两条主线,全面提升旅游产业素质和旅游质量效益,加快推进旅游业提质发展,初步实现巫山“过境游”向休闲、度假“目的游”转变。2010年,全县接待海内外游客310万人次,较2006年增长2.6倍。力争到2015年,接待海内外游客达到1000万人次,旅游总收入突破35亿元,旅游从业人员达到3万人。
