本文根据甘肃17个剖面湿陷系数的测定,查明黄土湿陷性从上向下呈现波动变小,造成湿陷性垂向上变小的原因是土层自重压力,引起波动变化的原因是土层受成壤强弱的差异。作者根据镜下鉴定和湿陷性与成壤强弱关系的研究,将黄土微结构分为18种类型,指出湿陷性是在几种特定的成壤过程中产生的,是成壤作用弱的黄土所具有的特征,受风化成壤作用强的黄土不具湿陷性
