Armco 18SR has excellent oxidation resistance at high temperature. It has a higher resistance to peeling than other types of high-temperature heat-resistant steels such as: Types 442 and 446, and in addition is easy to melt and inexpensive at the same time. Armco 18SR is used in the automotive exhaust control system and economically solved some of the difficulties.
