隐喻是一种思维模式,而翻译是一种人类思维活动,隐喻和翻译的基本原则具有很多相似和不同之处。本文通过对大量例句的翻译来论述隐喻的性质,文化内涵,并根据英汉隐喻的特点提出了一些翻译对策。
Metaphor is a kind of thinking mode, and translation is a kind of human thinking activity. There are many similarities and differences between the basic principles of metaphor and translation. This paper discusses the nature and cultural connotation of metaphor through the translation of a large number of example sentences and proposes some translation strategies according to the characteristics of English and Chinese metaphors.
