In 1996, the National Youth Work Committee, China Youth Daily and the Youth Research Institute of China Youth Research Center conducted a large-scale survey of primary and secondary school students across the country. In a survey of “Your Major Disadvantages,” a total of 16,350 31.2% of primary school students chose the “timid” shortcomings, the percentage accounted for 26 shortcomings of the first one.
