剪纸艺术集中体现中华民族淳朴的审美理念,有着强大的生命力,是民族艺术园地的一朵奇葩,剪纸艺术家任重而道远,肩负保护传承的重任,又要研究发展的途径。内蒙古剪纸艺术有着非常深厚的文化底蕴,特别是和林格尔剪纸已被列入国家级非物质文化遗产名录,具有丰富的思想内涵。内蒙古剪纸艺术的当前的任务首先是抢救、保护,然后是继承和发展。
