越南民主共和国外交部长范文同同志敬爱的部长同志:我收到了你1960年7月16日的来信和所附你在同一天给1954年日内瓦会议两位主席的信的抄件。中华人民共和国政府完全同意你给日内瓦会议两位主席信中所表明的观点和要求。并且认为,有关方面有必要考虑采取适当的措施来制止美帝国主义对关于印度支那问题日内瓦协议的不断破坏和对越南南方的粗暴干涉,以维护日内瓦协议和印度支那的和平。
Comrade Pham Van Tong, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, Dear Comtemporary Minister, I have received your copy of the letter dated July 16, 1960, together with your letter to the two presidents of the Geneva conference of 1954 on the same day. The government of the People’s Republic of China fully agrees with your point of view as expressed in the letter of the two presidents to the Geneva conference. And he believes it is necessary for the parties concerned to consider appropriate measures to stop the undaunted destruction of the Geneva agreement on Indochina by U.S. imperialism and the gross interference in southern Vietnam in order to safeguard the Geneva agreement and the peace in Indochina.
