The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) is mainly engaged in the research of occupational safety and health sciences and advises on the prevention of work-related injuries and diseases. The institute is affiliated with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
