传说有五个神仙骑着五色羊,手执六束秬(黑黍)穗来到广州,广 州从此嘉禾遍地,丰衣足食,因而广州以“羊城”或“五羊城”、“穗”为 别名。可见广州自古来就是个具有传奇色彩的地方。不过,要看广州 的现代传奇,《羊城晚报》不能不看。 《羊城晚报》立足改革开放及经济建设的前沿阵地——广东及附近 经济发达的珠江三角洲地区,每天以大量篇幅,及时地传播该地区以及 国内外的重要新闻及现代社会的最新信息,具有很强的社会权威性,是 一份上至党政高层人士,下至普通市民百姓都十分喜爱的大众文化报 纸。不过,就语言文字而言,《羊城晚报》在活泼方面堪称特色,严谨有时 显得不足,往往会在匆忙之中露出破绽。为了使《羊城晚报》能成为晚报 中文质俱美的“带头羊”,本刊愿继续尽绵薄之力。 到此,今年“‘咬’定晚报不放松”活动已经圆满结束。我们要向支 持我们工作的十二家晚报表示感谢,向积极参与活动的广大读者表 示感谢!请大家把火力转向荧屏。
