数月前,华强托人从广州带来一大叠近年水墨画作图片,希望能听到我的评论。当时虽是匆匆浏览,一种既惊且喜之感已油然而生。但后来拖延了好几月,却连一份短文也未曾写出。这或许可以杂事纷扰为由搪塞罢,而实在的原因,却是提笔之际踌躇再三,总感到未曾准确把握住这些作品的内层特征。想想也是,看这样的作品是需要另具眼光的。出自华强之手的这些作品非同一般,其间包容的信息很丰富,以释读一般画家作品的常规套路对之,很可能只是缘木求鱼。
A few months ago, Huaqiang Trustee brought a large stack of ink painting pictures from Guangzhou in recent years, hoping to hear my comment. Although it was a hurry to browse, a sense of both surprise and joy has arisen spontaneously. However, after a delay of several months, a short essay was never written. This may be caused by the trouble of miscellaneous things, but the real reason is that hesitating to mention the occasion, always feel that they have not accurately grasp the inner characteristics of these works. Think about it, to see such a work requires a different vision. These works by Hua Qiang are extraordinary. The information they contain is very rich. To interpret the routine of the works of ordinary painters, it is likely that they will only find their own way.
