内蒙古自治区是我国甜菜生产和制糖工业主要基地之一。目前自治区甜菜种植面积已发展到一百多万亩。但长期以来甜菜亩产量一直徘徊在一吨左右,含糖率出现明显下降。特别是内蒙西部土默特甜菜老产区已由五十年代丰产高糖区退化为七十年代的低产低糖区。甜菜亩产不足一吨,含糖率由五十年代的17—18%下降为15—16%。甜菜单产不高含糖率下降,不仅影响了农民种植甜菜的积极性,也直接影响了我区甜菜制糖工业的经济效益。因此提高
Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is one of the major bases for sugar beet production and sugar industry in China. At present, the beet cultivation area in the autonomous region has grown to over one million mu. In particular, the old Timur sugar beet production in western Inner Mongolia has been degraded from the high-yield and high-sugar areas in the 1950s to the low-yield and low-sugar areas in the 1970s.
