我家在城郊有处院子,平常老爷子喜欢搬张椅子坐在家门口晒太阳。或眯缝着眼睛听他最爱的京剧,或逗逗满街跑着玩的小孩子。有一次,老爷子正教一帮小孩子下棋,可能是玩得太兴奋了,哮喘病忽然发作。他“呼呼”喘气的样子把小孩子们吓坏了,有两个年幼的还哇哇大哭。‘这次事件不仅把我们全家吓得够呛,从此后小孩子们见了老爷子也都躲着走。甚至有村民以为老爷子得了什么怪病,严令孩子不准接近老爷子,怕老爷子把病传染给孩子。
