我厂有许多中小型板金件需冲裁加工。这些板金件品种多,批量少,外形复杂,并经常更改,因此冲模的设计制造工作量很大。为此,我厂于一九五八年参照有关资料,设计制造了一台电磁模座,安装在七十顿压力机上,但仅限于冲裁有色金属。为适应生产发展的需要,于一九六五年试制成功冲裁黑色金属件的隔磁板。在无产阶级文化大革命期间,一九七○年,我厂又采用大台面的压力机(四百顿)安装电磁模座,用以冲裁较大的板金件。此外还参考国外有关资料设计了在闸压床上固定弓形冲孔模用的电磁模座(长形),用来冲制挤压型材导孔,
