章太炎先生最后的一位弟子、当代大儒姚奠中先生于近日仙逝。他的学术与人生道路,促使我们进行深刻的思考。百年来在西方文化的冲击下,中国学术改变了原初以札记、评点、注释、考辨为主要形式的研究格局,而走向了纵横驰骋、综合归纳、条分缕析的论证、演绎,大大推进了中国学术的进程。然而在沿着西方学术方向不断推进中,中国学术逐渐脱离传统以健全人格为第一要义的治学宗旨与明道救世的学术理念,而走向了以著述为能事的技术性竞争;用西方概念规范中国学术成为普遍法则,而使中国文化的精魂在所谓科学的分析、归纳中不断流失;学者以专深为能,以填补所谓空白为荣,而不知回真向俗。学术研究偏离了为人类创造健康、快乐、幸福生活而服务的原则,变成了少数人博取名利的手段。学术研究带给许多学人的不是精神提升,不是快乐享受,而是疲惫,是焦虑,是生命的枯竭,是名利欲望的加重。学术与人格分离,学术与人生分离,学术与社会分离,故有学者,学问上去了,人格却下滑了,学问做大了,命却没有了,致使有英年早谢的学人在生命结束之际,留下了“宁要长寿不要教授”的感叹。而姚先生则始终坚守着中国学术的正脉,把治学作为提升人生境界与人格境界的方式,把学问化作了资供生命长寿的补品,化作了敏锐的眼光和妥善处理身边事务的智慧,成就了他百年辉煌人生。以现代的学术评价指标和时下群体的人生选择而言,他极不合时宜,然而他却誉满天下。他为学人树立了楷模,也为我们调整治学方向、纠正学术时弊以诸多启示。下文是根据他的弟子刘毓庆先生的一次讲演录音整理的。特刊布于此,以飨读者。 Mr. Zhang Taiyan last disciple, contemporary Confucianism Mr. Yao Dianzhong recently passed away. Scholars have deepened their potentials to honor the so-called blank space but have no knowledge of what is true. Academic research deviates from the principle of serving a healthy, happy and happy life for humankind and has become a means by which a few people can gain fame and fortune. Academic research brings many scholars not mental enhancement, not happy enjoyment, but exhaustion, anxiety, exhaustion of life, and aggravation of fame and wealth. To modern academic evaluation indicators and the current life choices for the group now, he is outdated, but he was best known in the world. He set an example for academics, but also for us to adjust the direction of scholarship, to correct academic problems with a lot of inspiration.
