The following three articles are a summary of a symposium held in April 1982 at the annual meeting of the American Thoracic Society entitled The Pathogenesis of Granulomatous Lung Diseases (GLD). This symposium aims to discuss the mechanisms of granuloma formation, lung parenchymal damage and pulmonary fibrosis in GLD.
