1793年马戛尔尼使团借贺乾隆皇帝80寿辰名义(时为补祝)访华,成为英国政府正式派遣的第一个使华团。马戛尔尼使团的有关官、私档案及旅行记不断被整理出版,这些有助于还原马戛尔尼使华事件的诸多史实。本文旨在利用新整理、编译出版的官私史料,综合使团成员的回忆录,以使团在北京的“寓所搬迁事件”为线索,从中、英双视角出发,窥探中西文化差异和个人因素对此次中英交涉的影响。
In 1793, the Macartney Mission visited China on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Emperor Qianlong, and became the first Chinese mission to be officially sent by the British government. Relevant officials, private files and travel notes of the Macartney Mission were constantly being collated and published, which helped to restore the many facts of the Macanese incident.
