With the rapid development of network and multimedia technology in recent years, information hiding has been a research hotspot in the area of information security. The market of digital video product is blooming, and people are more concerned with protection for copyright and communication security more than before. However, now most of research in this field focuses on protection for copyright-thats Digital Watermark. To fulfill the requirement for application, theamount of information that watermark contains is small. But communication securitydemands a large amount of secret information. Under this circumstance, itsmeaningful for us to research an algorithm which could carry a large amount ofinformation. In this paper, we summarize the history of information hiding and the generalconcept and the principle for information hiding. Also we analyze the merits anddemerits of typical realization method, and then discuss the performance of differentalgorithms combined with application fields. And then, we introduce some classmethods for video hiding technique. According to algorithm models, algorithm canbe divided into two kinds: based on non-compressed carrier and based oncompressed carrier. The method of this paper is based on non-compressed carrier.We present a new method for video hiding technique. With the models ofgeometry for 3D vision, we could make use of information redundancy in sequenceof frames. In this way, we achieve the purpose of hiding a large amount ofinformation. In the last part of paper, we provide some essential codes and result ofexperiments. Finally, we figure out some demerits and problems that we need furtherresearch.Keywords: video hiding technique, steganography, scrambling, amalgamation
